My daughter [name removed] has attended children’s medical daycare for the first time and was very anxious about the whole experience especially needing a cannula put in. On arrival, all staff including the student nurses were fantastic at calming her down and spoke to her about what is going to happen to keep her calm. The nursing staff and play therapist were fantastic and friendly. The cannula being put in was something I myself was nervous for also due to seeing [name removed] having such a fear for it. However, this time the room was calm [name removed] was distracted well and not one tear was shed! The dr explained everything so calmly and she did not try until she was so certain. A massive shout out to the HCSW [name removed] who kept [name removed] so calm and built such a good rapport with her! You truly deserve a medal!

Staff couldn’t do enough, I felt really safe and looked after

My son has autism and adhd and the staff worked efficiently and effectively to aid him in staying calm and assisting him with all his needs
